On this page I'll describe Tracy Jai's life and career:
Tracy Jai Edwards is currently staring in the TONY award winning musical Hairspray. She protrays the role of Amber Von
Tussle.Tracy is a Texas girl who is ecstatic to be making her Broadway debut with such an amazing company.
Before joining Hairspray, Tracy Jai was a
Los Angeles based actress/singer/dancer . The 23 year old Edwards was slated to play the role in the 1st National Tour
of Hairspray. After numerous try outs for the Broadway replacement of Bundy, the producers of Hairspray offered the role to
Edwards.
Some credits include the nat'l tour of Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, with Ann-Marget. She was also in the European
tour of Grease where she played Pink Lday, Jan. She did the regional tour of Guys and Dolls, A Chorus Line, and Nunsene.
Tracy Jai thanks her parents, grandparents, Victoria, and her amazing friends who all truly inspire her.
